Other than my love for my husband, my children and my granddaughter, my greatest love in life is my love for the ocean. I love the sound of the waves, the warmth of the sand and the smell of the breeze. I love the beauty in every piece of driftwood and every single seashell. I am in awe everytime I look out at the huge body of water that seems to go on forever. I am fortunate because I live close enough to see that beauty whenever I wish. For those who don't have that option, but still have the passion for the ocean, maybe having a small piece of it in these gifts will be a welcome addition to your home and your soul.

I couldn't find anything I liked in the gift shops so I started Memories by the Sea. The idea began on a weekend trip to the ocean. I spent the day looking for a picture frame for a favorite family photo we had taken at the beach. I knew what I was looking for, but I couldn't find anything with the hand-crafted look I wanted. So my family and I all gathered driftwood and seashells, and when we got home I decorated a few frames with them. I gave some of the frames away and everyone seemed to enjoy them. I started selling frames to a few coastal gift shops and they were a great success. I have started making clocks, wreaths, lamps, mirrors and more. Every item is handmade by me and because of the uniqueness of the driftwood and seashells no two items are ever exactly alike.

So, if you or someone you know has that love for the ocean, you can bring a little piece of that world into your home or office.
